A third-generation
craftsman.
In 1985, Charlotte native Mike Polly founded Design Services of Charlotte, also known as Design Upholstery. Drawing on skills learned from his grandfather, he wanted to preserve the integrity of well-made upholstered furniture.
Today, our full-service workshop creates one-of-a-kind handcrafted pieces and restores heirlooms and antiques for private clients, the interior design trade, and commercial spaces.
All work is performed in-house, never outsourced, in a secure, smoke-free facility. Our team brings more than 50 years of upholstery experience.
